NABFA was founded by a group of activists who were disgusted by the way people with disabilities are denied access to, and harassed and humiliated in, some office and retail environments. Many people suffer in silence; from being unable to use a restroom to being unable to enter a building, those wanting to resolve these unfair and illegal practices have often had nowhere to turn.

Determined to change this situation, NABFA was created to provide a support infrastructure to those who have been unfairly treated. Instead of making polite requests to those businesses which violate the law, we take action by demanding they comply and suing them for damages.

We also provide advice and planning guidance to those responsible business owners who want to conform, but need help in knowing where to get started.
